Weaving Our Stories Conference
Students were treated to multiple workshops, activities, cultural entertainment, and presentations, all centered on the theme “Building Community During Turbulent Times.”
The Native American Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTI) program has a dual mission:
As a Native American student at USU Blanding, you'll have a dedicated mentor to guide you, offer academic support, and assist with any challenges you may face during your studies.
You can also join the Native American Summer Mentorship program, a hands-on opportunity at the Logan campus where you will participate in experiential laboratory and field exercises while getting the USU main campus experience. A stipend will be provided during attendance.
Attend an exclusive life and career skills course designed to tie modern student life to traditional Navajo culture. Taught by Native American Professor Dr. Clayton Long, USU 1045 Habits of Mind—My Ideal Future is based on the “Navajo Legend of the Hero Twins.”
Our mission is to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access. The NASNTI grants assist in planning, developing, undertaking, and carrying out activities to improve and expand NASNTI institutions’ capacity to serve Native American students.

Get the support you need, when you need it. NASNTI II provides you access to a professional, on-campus counselor to provide confidential support at no cost to you.
