Sharen Sandoval

Navajo Nation Chief of Staff

Shanen SandovalSharen Sandoval serves as Chief of Staff for the Navajo Nation Office of the President and Vice President. She is Tábąąhá nishłį́, Tł'ízíłání báshíshchíín, Táchii'nii dashicheii, and Táchii'nii dashinálí, and she is originally from Ganado, Arizona.

Sandoval oversees 23 divisions within the Navajo Nation Executive Branch, supporting more than 5,000 employees. Her public service career includes serving as Navajo Nation Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of the Navajo Nation Department of Emergency Management. She also continues to serve in the United States Air Force Reserve, bringing more than fifteen years of military experience in emergency response, operational readiness, and interagency coordination.

She earned two associate degrees from Mesa Community College, an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy from Arizona State University. Sandoval also serves on the American Red Cross Board of Directors, extending her commitment to community resilience and humanitarian service.

She credits her parents with shaping her values and leadership, and she remains deeply proud of the example they set.
