Biography
Yvette grew up in the small community of Avalon, Utah. Her first language is Spanish and enjoys being an advocate for the Latino Community. She recently graduated with her bachelor's degree in Business Administration for Utah State University and is now working on a Masters in Public Health. She is also a certified Master Gardener and Master food Preserver. Yvette began with Utah State University Extension in 2018 as a summer intern assisting with community activities. She, then, was hired ful time in May of 2019 as a Create Better Health Ambassador and Duchesne County Family Wellness Program Coordinator. Yvette's program focus is in the Duchesne County Area and on the Ute Indian Tribe Reservation. She strives to promote healthy eating habits and active lifestyles in underserved populations.
