Biography
Dr. Pam Dupin-Bryant is a tenured, Professor of Data Analytics and Information Systems at Utah State University. She received her B. S. degree in Business Administration (1993) and M.S. degree in Business Information Systems and Education (1994) at Utah State University, and her Ph.D. in Education: Adult Learning and Technology (2000) from the University of Wyoming.
Teaching Interests
Primary teaching activities have been in the areas of data analytics and information systems including user interface/user experience (UI/UX) web design and development, business applications computer programming, data and information in business, microcomputer applications, word processing, database design, spreadsheets, business communications, systems design and implementation, Internet management, and electronic commerce. Courses are taught primarily in the evenings, in-person and via distance education (interactive broadcast, online, hybrid, and independent study) at the USU Tooele campus.
Research Interests
Research and scholarly writings have focused primarily on information systems pedagogy, online/distance education, web design and development, business ethics, and and business intelligence/data analytic. Specifically facilitating learner-centered environments, effective instruction in information systems courses, collaboration, computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), computer-mediated communication (CMC), collaborative learning, student retention, and software piracy.
