Biography
In 2000, Jen obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Utah in Geography and Environmental Studies. During her time at the university, she gained an understanding of the significance of systems and their influence on individuals. After working and residing in Moab, Utah, for several years, Jen decided to pursue further education. Consequently, in 2008, she completed her MSW degree from the University of Montana in Missoula. Initially, she obtained licensure as an LCSW in Montana and served as the lead clinician for a Comprehensive School & Community Treatment program at a school on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Ronan, Montana, until August 2010. Following this, she moved into a similar position at a rural school in Missoula, Montana. In September 2013, Jen took on the role of Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work at USU Moab. She also established her private practice in Moab, Utah in January 2014, where she currently provides mental health treatment on a part-time basis. Moreover, Jen offered support to the school therapy program in Moab, Utah, by assisting the Grand County Middle School students until a full-time program therapist could be appointed. Jen is particularly focused on understanding systems and their impact on clients within personal and societal contexts. Her dedication to the field of social work continues to grow as she recognizes the increasing significance of the advanced generalist perspective.
