Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students access to high-quality, career-focused programs that result in a university certificate with value in the job market.

Some CTE programs may be completed in one semester, while others can be completed in two semesters or more. CTE gives students the option to continue on to earn an associate or bachelor’s degree from Utah State University.

CTE Programs Lead to Fulfilling Careers

Over 160,000 students
are enrolled in CTE courses in Utah.

66% of new jobs by 2020
will require more than a high school diploma.

CTE students
have a 95% graduate rate.

Save Time and Money. Start During High School.

Many of the CTE programs, like Automotive Technology, Digital Design, Web Business, and Engineering Drafting and Design, are available to start in high school through Concurrent Enrollment.

By taking Concurrent Enrollment classes in high school, you shorten the time you’ll need to earn a college degree. Plus, Concurrent Enrollment courses cost a fraction of what you cost to take them after high school.
