Designed for first-generation and income-eligible students, the program provides comprehensive support. The program helps high school students build the academic skills and motivation needed to graduate from high school and succeed in college.

Upward Bound offers both an academic year program and a summer component to ensure students stay on track, stay motivated, and are fully prepared to enter and succeed in college.
Preparation for College & Academic Success
Upward Bound is dedicated to helping students succeed in high school and prepare for college through academic support, personal development, and real college experiences.
- Work with in-school Upward Bound Advisors.
- After successfully completing summer classes, students participate in an exciting extended college trip — either in-state or out-of-state — to explore college campuses and experience university life firsthand.
Five-Week Summer Program
Our summer experience is one of the highlights of the Upward Bound Program. It’s designed to give students a real taste of college life while building valuable skills for academic and personal success.
- Live on a college campus - make new friends, participate in activities and take part in community service.
- Receive one-on-one tutoring - strengthen academic skills and learn effective study habits that last a lifetime.
- Explore career and college opportunities - Engage with inspiring instructors and explore paths that match your goals.
- Earn college credit - through the Summer Bridge Program, graduated seniors can earn up to 6 college credit hours to jumpstart their college journey.
