This Is Our Utah State
Since our founding in 1977, the Blanding campus has undergone many transformations to become Utah State University Blanding. As part of USU, you graduate with more than a degree — you graduate an Aggie.
Mission
The mission of Utah State University is to be one of the nation's premier student-centered land-grant and space-grant universities by fostering the principle that academics come first, by cultivating diversity of thought and culture, and by serving the public through learning, discovery, and engagement.

The Little College That Could — And Still Does
Founded in 1977, the Utah State University Blanding Campus opens doors for residents in Utah’s remote southeast corner, including Native Americans in the Four-Corners region. It is a college campus small enough to keep students from getting lost in the crowd but with connections large enough to offer endless possibilities. It is a stepping stone from high school to college and on to a successful career.
The Blanding campus also supports many learning centers in the Four-Corners area providing educational access to dozens of sites in a service region of more than 40,000 square miles, half of which are in tribal lands.
