About This Degree

USU's Master of Rehabilitation Counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). It is one of Utah State's highest ranked graduate programs, and according to U.S. News & World Report, its ranking is in the top 20 in its category. Rehabilitation counselors provide services to adults with a broad range of disabilities to help them obtain gainful employment and take control of their lives.

In addition to traditional on-campus courses, classes are offered through Internet-based distance education. Those who complete either the on-campus or distance program are eligible to take the national Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) examination, which USU students pass at a 94% rate on the first attempt, and almost 100 percent of graduates find employment as rehabilitation counselors.
