USU’s School Counselor Education Program prepares students to be licensed school counselors in K-12 school settings.
Coursework and experiential components of the program prepare students to work in elementary, middle/jr. high, and high school settings with diverse K-12 student populations.
Additionally, many K-12 teachers find that a master’s degree is School Counselor Education provides depth and breadth to their teaching career.
Although our program does not specifically provide training for positions in higher education, our graduates have found success in higher education roles such as career services/advising, academic advising and program coordinators.
